JETT Plasma Medical
Care for the area
around your eyes

Targeted treatment of the eyelids,
ocular surface and skin.

This revolutionary, non-invasive, and painless method utilizes low-temperature ionized gas (plasma) to stimulate tissue regeneration and support the body's natural healing processes. Thanks to the plasma's biostimulating effect, it is possible to achieve significant improvement in chronic conditions—such as the uncomfortable dry eye syndrome—as well as rejuvenation of the eye area.

What is JETT Plasma Medical?

JETT Medical is a medical device that uses direct-current technology. Depending on the applicator and procedure selected, it enables targeted treatment of the skin and certain eye conditions. A specialised Plasma Pen applicator is used for ophthalmic procedures. Following an examination, the ophthalmologist will determine whether a particular treatment is suitable for you.

Benefits of the Plasma JETT method

  • Non-invasive solution – no surgery required
  • Safe and gentle method suitable for the sensitive eye area
  • Minimal recovery time
  • Visible results after just one session
  • Long-lasting effect due to collagen production stimulation

Treatment options

Dry eye and eyelid margins

Burning, stinging or a gritty sensation in the eyes can have several causes. The condition of the eyelids and the meibomian glands, which produce the oily component of the tear film, also plays an important role. For certain forms of dry eye or chronic blepharitis, the ophthalmologist may include JETT Medical treatment in an individual care plan. The ocular surface and the underlying cause of your symptoms are assessed before a treatment is selected.

Eyelid inflammation and stye

For recurring redness, irritation or a lump on the eyelid, the first step is to establish a diagnosis. Chronic inflammation of the eyelid margins and a chalazion are different conditions and may require different approaches. The ophthalmologist will assess whether device-based treatment or another option is appropriate.

Small skin lesions around the eyes

Following specialist assessment, some benign lesions, such as fibromas or xanthelasma, can be treated through targeted application of the device. Before the procedure, the nature of the lesion must be assessed and a suitable method selected. The extent of treatment and aftercare depend on the individual findings.

Aesthetic treatment around the eyes

JETT Medical is also used for selected aesthetic procedures on the skin and eyelids. Treatment options for fine lines or excess skin are assessed individually. Device-based treatment is not a universal substitute for eyelid surgery; the appropriate approach depends on the extent of the findings and the patient's expectations.

What does treatment involve?

Your visit begins with a consultation and examination. The ophthalmologist will explain the recommended procedure, its expected benefits and limitations and, where needed, the options for anaesthesia. The applicator and technique are then selected according to the area being treated. Afterwards, you will receive instructions for care at home and any follow-up appointment. The length of the visit, number of treatments and healing time vary according to the procedure.

Before your visit

Suitability is assessed based on your diagnosis, health and medication. Before treatment, tell the ophthalmologist if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, or any current skin or eye conditions. You will receive a final recommendation during your consultation.
