Fundus Photography – Visucam (ZEISS)

Modern examination of the back of the eye – that is, the retina, optic nerve, macula, and blood vessels in the eye, without the need for dilation (in most cases).

The Visucam by ZEISS is a high-end device designed to capture detailed images of the back of the eye – including the retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels. It is essential for diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.

The examination is quick, painless, and contactless. The patient looks into the device, which captures a high-resolution image of the internal eye structures. These images allow us to detect even the smallest changes that could threaten vision at an early stage.

In some cases, dilating eye drops are required to obtain higher-quality images. After the drops are applied, vision may be temporarily blurred and more sensitive to light – we recommend not arriving for the examination by car.
